How to use facial oil to keep your skin bright and glowing

This is a bit of a continuation from my earlier blog on how to cure cystic acne naturally and permanently.

I am a huge advocate of using raw cold pressed oils as your daily and nightly moisturizer, that said, they are not all alike and very literally need to be tried, tested and used over a length of time to see A. if you have any allergens or reactions and B. whether your skin is receiving the benefits and results that work for you.

I use my own custom mixed ant-oxidant facial oil morning and evening, as well as coconut oil during a facial pre-mask, and post AHA moisturizer. Here is a quick at home deep conditioning facial you can perform 3 times a week. This is amazing on ALL skin types!

Please see my earlier blog here, for my complete facial regime using at home kitchen ready ingredients. The directions below should be added right before the final facial oil application at the end of your facial.

You will need:

  • 1 bushel of fresh rosemary
  • 1 pot that is wide but shallow
  • 10 cups of boiling water
  • 1 bowl of cold water left in fridge overnight with fresh cucumber slices
  • 1 cotton sterile dish towel
  • 1 bed sheet
  • 1 hair tie or hair clippie

Step 1: Place rosemary into water and boil. Set aside.

Step 2: Carefully tie hair completely back from face. Place heated pot onto table (make sure to use a hot pad on table!) Sit at table and make sure you can sit comfortably with your face over bowl, without the need to stand. Place sheet over head and create a tent over your head and the bowl, being careful not to burn your self and or ruin your sheet. Hold your face within tent for up to 5 minutes, maintaining a distance. The object is to steam not burn.

Step 3: Remove face from tent, soak sterile dish towel into cold cucumber water and pat over face and neck.

Step 4: Repeat steps 2 & 3 and apply facial oil onto face, neck and décolleté.
